You could not have asked for a better day of marching band in Central Texas. The partly cloudy weather was perfect. As afternoon turned into evening, the temperature was just right for Frito Pie and hot cocoa.
Final competition began after an exhibition performance from the Vista Ridge Marching Band.
Here are the Finals Results:
1st Place: Westlake High School – 1st in Visual, Music, and GE, 2nd in Percussion
2nd Place: Georgetown High School – 2nd in Music, GE, and Auxiliary, 3rd in Percussion
3rd Place: Jack C. Hays High School – 1st in Auxiliary, 3rd in Visual, and Music
4th Place: Lehman High School – 3rd in GE
5th Place: Louis D. Brandeis – 1st in Percussion, 3rd in Auxiliary
6th Place: Connally High School
7th Place: William H. Taft High School
8th Place: Victoria West High School – 2nd in Visual

Then it Rained
We had crazy mixed weather! Cloudy. Sunny and warm. Thunder and lighting. Dogs and cats living together,! Mass hysteria! (a little Ghostbusters humor there).
The following bands advanced to finals:
